12:00 PM - 4:00 PM STEM Lecture: ENGINEERING THERAPIES FOR TISSUE REGENERATION THROUGH MODELING AND EXPERIMENTATION

Dr. Peirce-Cottler is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia’s Pinn Scholar School of Medicine. In addition to her work as a professor at the university, she is author and co-author of multiple scientific publications and she serves as President for The Microcirculatory Society and Chairs the NIH Modeling and Analysis of Biological Systems (MABS) Study Section. Come hear how Dr. Peirce-Cotter’s work at UVA touches each area of STEM and how she impresses her own life lessons upon her students.

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Afternoon Breeze Bike Ride

Starting Wednesday 8/29 at 3pm Student Activities will be starting a weekly bike ride!  This beginner bike ride will start from the Fitness Center at 3pm and return at 4pm.  Come join the new Recreation Coordinator Chad for a fun, leg-stretcher, 2 mile bike ride through the beautiful Winding Way neighborhood!  Group size is limited to 7 and rides will be filled first come, first serve.
