The Miseducation of the Black Greek XPERIENCE! Misconceptions in African-American Collegiate Greek Lettered Organizations African-American Collegiate Greek Lettered Fraternities and Sororities boast a rich legacy. Unfortunately, they are often riddled with misconceptions and misunderstandings regarding their purpose, mission, and history. The Miseducation of the Black Greek XPERIENCE! TM is an interactive, innovative, fun, engaging and educational sessions that dispel these stereotypes. The sessions also offer practical short term and long-term solutions for both non-members and Divine Nine members to positively change the expectation and culture related to these organizations. Customized sessions are designed and organized to achieve your specific goals by blending African and American history and culture, Divine Nine fraternal customs and traditions, leadership/management skills, membership recruitment/retention strategies, risk management and economic empowerment concepts. The result: powerful, holistic and relevant sessions that your campus will find powerful and practical. No matter the council size, institution demographic (HBCU or PWI), or extent of your challenges, these sessions are designed to empower your campus community.

The journal is run by students, and it publishes original works of Troy University students. The Rubicon is calling for short stories, poems, literary essays, short plays, non-fiction, and artwork! Volunteer Opportunity - An Evening with Tim Tebow

Volunteers needed for - An Evening with Tim Tebow - On Friday, March 16, Baptist Health presents - An Evening with Tim Tebow benefiting Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama.  Friday, March 16 (during Spring Break) they are looking for volunteers to work this event.  There are two shifts available, from 10 am to 4pm (pre-event) and 3 pm to 10 pm (before, during and after event).  Volunteers will assist with such tasks as setup, decor, serving, check-in, hosting and clean up.   All volunteers who will be on hand for the event working the 3 to 10 pm shift are asked to wear black business attire (black dress or black top/slacks for women; dark suit with white shirt for men) with a blue or orange accent (in honor of Mr. Tebow's Univ. of Florida and/or Denver Bronco affliations).  To volunteer contant Isa Dorsky at isa@thegrodnergroup.com or call at 205-202-6023.  The event will be held in Montogomery at the Renaissance Montgomery Convention Center, 201 Tallapoosa Street.  This event is not sponsored by Troy University or any student groups at Troy University.  You must contact Isa Dorsky for more information and to volunteer.
