Event Description Community Driven Research Day encourages collaboration between university-based research partners and community based organizations (CBOs) who have research questions that they are interested in answering. Through an interactive poster session, CBOs highlight their research questions to researchers and students from the partnering institutions. CBOs and academic researchers will be able to meet and discuss potential collaborations. The theme for this year's Community Driven Research Day is Health Literacy, Healthy Weight and Healthy Behaviors. Following Community Driven Research Day, participating CBO’s are invited to partner with an academic researcher or student to apply for pilot funding related to their research questions of interest related to the conference theme. This is a great opportunity for faculty to engage in community-based research as well as an opportunity for students to build relationships with the community and gain research experience simultaneously. |
