Event Description Kaeten Mistry discusses Kennan's role in Cold War diplomacy. Mistry is a Leverhulme Research Fellow in the School of American Studies at the University of East Anglia (UK), where he will take up a lectureship in 2012. His research interests include the history of American foreign relations, international history of the Cold War in Europe and intelligence. Mistry completed his PhD at the University of Birmingham (UK) and also studied at UCLA and University of Padua (Italy). He is an associate of the LSE IDEAS Cold War Studies Programme (based at the London School of Economics) and is a fellow at the Center for the United States and Cold War at NYU’s Tamiment Library & Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives. He is currently finishing a book on U.S.-Italian relations and American political warfare in the early Cold War. |
