Exuberant and eloquent trumpeter Alison Balsom begins The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia's 2011/2012 season on a high note with Hummel's Trumpet Concerto. Youth and vitality take us across the European continent as we explore the caves of Scotland through the eyes of Mendelssohn, the dances of Vienna with Schubert and a brand new work by COP's Maestro Brossé.
