Speaker: Paul Katz, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology, Temple University School of Medicine

1. Introduction to the concept of endovascular therapy for ischemic stroke
2. Review of the state of the pertinent literature
3. Brief summary of the IMS III, Synthesis Expansion, and MR Rescue Studies
4. Discussion of the role of multimodal imaging in acute ischemic stroke
5. The controversies  surrounding endovascular therapy for acute ischemic stroke
6. Formulation of strategies for patient selection
7. Further trials and what should be studied
