Event Description Pi Alpha Xi, the national honor society for horticulture students, and the Ambler Arboretum of Temple University will hold a special Plant Sale on Saturday, May 5, at the Ambler Campus Greenhouse. The plant sale — an Ambler Campus tradition dating back to the early 1900s — will feature woody plants and perennials in portable sizes, annuals, hops, “veggie starts,” native plants that are attractive to wildlife, herbs, and tropicals. New this year, Pi Alpha Xi will also host a used gardening book sale during the plant sale! Students, staff, and volunteers from the Department of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture and the Ambler Arboretum Advisory Committee will be available to answer questions. Cash or checks are accepted. All proceeds from the Spring Plant Sale will support the Pi Alpha Xi National Honor Society and the Ambler Arboretum Fund. |
