Event Description:
Temple University Graduate Creative Writing Program presents renowned poet Norma Cole. Cole will read from her most recent book of poetry, Win These Posters and Other Unrelated Prizes Inside, which has just appeared from Omnidawn Publishing. Other books of poetry include Natural Light, Where Shadows Will: Selected Poems 1988–2008 and Spinoza in Her Youth. She has also published a book of essays and talks, To Be at Music (Omnidawn). Her translations from French include Jean Daive’s A Woman with Several Lives, Danielle Collobert’s It Then and Crosscut Universe: Writers on Writing from France. She won the Gertrude Stein Award for Innovative Poetry and has received grants from the Gerbode Foundation, the Fund for Poetry and the Foundation for Contemporary Arts.
