Event Description
The Republican Reckoning: An Analysis of the Contemporary Republican Party in the Age of the Tea Party. Jim Rutenberg is a national political reporter focused on campaign-related investigative and enterprise stories for The New York Times. He has been a reporter for the investigations desk of The New York Times since January 2010. Before that, he was a Washington correspondent, covering politics, the White House and the 2008 presidential campaign. Prior to that, he served as City Hall bureau chief in New York City, and he was a campaign media reporter for the Washington bureau during the 2004 presidential campaign. He joined The Times in 2000 as a media and television reporter. Mr. Rutenberg came to The Times from The Observer and the New York Daily News.
