Event Description The Tyler School of Art is proud to present this exhibition, which completes an exchange between the Sculpture and Craft departments of the graduate programs at Tyler School of Art and Virginia Commonwealth University. The exchange started with students from the two departments of each school submitting work to be considered for inclusion by curators associated with the other school’s city. The Tyler students submitted work to VCU associate professor, independent curator and Art In America contributor Gregory Volk. VCU students submitted work for consideration to senior curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) Ingrid Schaffner. Volk’s selection of Tyler students’ works was presented in Richmond last November in an exhibition titled “From One State to Another.” "Gray Area Stake Out" is Schaffner's selection of VCU students' works. |
