Event Description Pervious pavements have been effective in addressing environmental issues and supporting sustainable green construction methods. They are designed to provide surfaces for parking lots and pedestrian roads which will allow some of the rainfall to permeate into the ground, reducing the amount of stormwater runoff and recharging groundwater. Pervious concrete and porous asphalt are the most commonly used materials in pervious pavements. This demo shows how plastic bottles can be used an alternative sustainable technology to produce pervious pavement. |
