Event Description
Do you shy away from discussions centered on sensitive topics such as race and diversity? Or do you try to start discussions but your students resist? In this TLC Workshop Series, participants will examine barriers to honest discussion in the classroom about race and diversity, and practical strategies for encouraging more open discussion. Participants are asked to commit to the group for the three consecutive sessions. Facilitated by Pamela Barnett, associate vice provost and director and Donna Marie Peters, assistant professor of sociology.
