Event Description
Christopher Durang’s Obie Award winning comedy paints a demented dystopian portrait of a marriage made in heaven that becomes a living hell in which the hopelessly optimistic Bette and her hapless husband Boo are condemned to live out the perils and pitfalls of life in the company of their epically dysfunctional relatives. Conveyed in a series of dazzlingly inventive interconnected scenes, the play romps wickedly on through three decades of divorce, alcoholism, madness and fatal illness, all treated with the signature brilliance of Durang’s sardonic yet compassionate farcical genius.
