Event Description
Andrea Bayer, curator of European paintings at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, will lecture on a recent acquisition of a painting by Venetian artist, Jacopo Bassano. Her presentation will take us into the studio and the laboratory as she focuses on the recent conservation completed by the museum and what new insights we can gain from the “technical art history,” combined scholarly and scientific investigations, about works of art.
