Event Description Join Horticulture students and staff at Temple University Ambler to help plant native shrubs in the Woodland Garden. This garden is an integral part of our campus — it was originally planted by the students of the Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women during the 1920s. Students and staff have begun the long process of removing the invasive species English Ivy. By re-planting with native species, it will be harder for English Ivy to return. The new plantings will also give the Woodland Garden more biodiversity. All majors and skill levels are welcome to participate! It will be a great opportunity to learn more about plants and meet people. Be sure to wear protective shoes and dress for the weather. Work gloves and tools will be provided and snacks and drinks will be served. |
