Event Description iPods aren’t just used for listening to music anymore. The pedagogical application of devices such as the iPod and iPad has increased mobile learning, a rapidly expanding area of instruction. Academic institutions around the country are incorporating mobile devices into distance learning curriculum but also to supplement face-to-face instruction. Through mobile devices, students can quickly access readings, journals, music, images, videos, radio programs and even recordings of lectures. Additionally, these devices can be used to produce and access student presentations, assignments and projects, and facilitate field studies. This seminar will investigate potential educational benefits of these devices as well as apps and tools intended specifically for higher education. |
