Event Description The Center for Sustainable Communities at Temple University Ambler is developing a stormwater management plan for three urban watersheds in the Borough of Ambler and Whitpain and Upper Dublin Townships. The plan will identify and prioritize stormwater improvements to mitigate water quality and flooding issues that the municipalities have faced for many years. During the October 17 town meeting in Ambler, the Center invites all residents, business owners and municipal officials within the watersheds — Rose Valley, Honey Run/Stuart Farm, and Tannery Run — to share their flooding experiences. Flooding information collected during the meeting will be used in the stormwater management project that the Center has undertaken, which has been funded by the U.S. EPA, local municipalities and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. |
