In January, Temple University’s Architecture Department engaged in a six-day design charrette. Working in teams, students were asked to develop programmatic and spatial strategies for a connection between the Gladfelter Hall-Anderson Hall terrace plaza and the surrounding grounds. The challenge addressed the desire to not only activate the plaza (some 20 feet above the rest of the campus), but also to connect the plaza to the immediate campus and urban context.

 

On Jan. 28, student designs will be exhibited, reviewed, discussed and winning schemes will be announced. This event is open to the public and followed by a reception at 6 p.m.
