Event Description:
Everyone is looking for that special someone to share their life with but what happens when that special someone has a dark side. Dating violence can be physical, emotional or sexual and it affects all genders and all ages. Join us on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 1:20pm to 2:20pm in Marshall Parker Auditorium as Amanda M. Callahan from Safe Harbor discusses the dynamics of dating violence, how to stay safe in relationships and how to determine a healthy relationship from an unhealthy one. Amanda Callahan has a MA in International Human Rights, focusing her research on violence against women. Currently she is part of the REP: Relationship Education Project teaching students how to handle abusive relationships and develope healthy ones. Sponsored by the Enrichment Series Committee.
