Event Description
Matt Matthews will be discussing his book Mercy Creek and his experiences as a novelist on Wednesday, March 6th from 1:20pm to 2:20pm in Marshall Parker Auditorium. Mercy Creek is Mr. Matthews' first novel and is the winner of the South Carolina Arts Commission First Novel Prize. Mercy Creek tells the story of 16 year-old Isaac who is trying to make the confusing transition from child to young man. He makes many revelations about himself and life as he begins to dig deeper into the mysteries of his small Southern town. Mr. Matthews grew up in Virginia and for the past eight years has lived in Greenville, SC. Sponsored by the Enrichment Series Committee. |
