Event Description Presented in conjunction with the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth
College in Hanover, New Hampshire—where Orozco painted a major fresco
cycle in 1932-34—the Men of Fire Exhibition pairs a giant of 20th century Mexican
art with one of his most fervent North American admirers, illustrating
the profound influence of Orozco’s murals on Pollock’s artistic
development. It features work from both museum’s collections, as well
as loans from public and private sources, including the Tate Gallery,
the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the
Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
