Event Description
This celebration promotes cultural
awareness of the Asian Pacific American communities and celebrates the
diversity of Long Island’s population. Featured will be multicultural booth display, arts and crafts,
costumes, dance, featured presentations, photo exhibit, tea ceremony,
vendor and corporate displays and workshops. There will be
multicultural dance and musical performance, open theater, Presentation
of Awards for Distinguished Asian Americans and Awarding
Ceremonies for the Social Harmony contest. Triveni Rao, a senior physicist at BNL, will be honored. Rao, the head of the Laser Applications Group in the Instrumentation Division, is developing new lasers and photocathodes for critical experimental programs in accelerator technology and materials science.
Multicultural performance tickets are sold online and at the entrance. Tickets for the feature performance are first-come, first-served. Please reserve online at scaaab.org.

Admission Information: FREE admission at the main lobby and open theater starts at 2:00 pm. At 1:30 pm, we will be featuring the AAAB Youth Orchestra who will explore the world of music from Renaissance to the 21st Century and our main featured multicultural performance is at 4:30 pm ($10) and is first-come, first-served. The Wang Center Theater seating is limited at the 4:30 pm show. |
