Event Description
The Center for Dance, Movement and Somatic Learning will present its annual performance with this year's director and choreographer, Joya Powell, premiering Aconteceu/It Happened. This work sets the stage for a powerful story about eight street children and their unfortunate fate at the hands of authority. This year's performance, Closed Body/Safe Heart, will also showcase a contemporary Ballet piece by faculty choreographer Alison Russell as well as student Independent Studies Projects and additional select student choreography.

Ticket Info: $15 non-students, $10 non-SBU Students, $5 SBU Student Donation

Reservations: Space is limited. Reserve your tickets now. Tickets can be purchased at: Nassau Hall (Dance Studio Office), South Campus, Stony Brook University: Tues/Thurs 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Or call (631) 632-3005 for reservations.
