Event Description:
The Stony Brook Institute for Global Studies, the Department of Sociology and the Center for Italian Studies announce a talk by Italian Foreign Service Ambassador Roberto Toscano, whose diplomatic postings include: First Secretary, Moscow (1975-1979); Ambassador, Tehran (2003-2008); Ambassador, New Delhi (2008-2010). More recently he has been active as a Public Policy Scholar at the Wilson Center, and President, Intercultura Foundation.

Topic: Putin's Russia: Between Nostalgia and Traditionalist Nationalism
