Two master artists perform to benefit students of the Stony Brook Department of Music

All proceeds go to the Gilbert Kalish Endowed Scholarship Fund

Stony Brook is privileged to have on its faculty Emerson String Quartet violinist Philip Setzer and pianist Gilbert Kalish. With 10 Grammy Awards (and 20 Grammy nominations) between them, these musical lions team up to benefit The Gilbert Kalish Endowed Scholarship Fund in support of Stony Brook music students. Hear the duo perform: Ravel Sonate for Violin and Piano; Ives Largo; Beethoven Sonata in C Minor for Violin and Piano

Lan-In (Winnie) Yang Sonata for Violin and Piano*

*World premiere, written for the duo and for this occasion by Ms. Yang, who is a student in the PhD composition program.
