Event Description
Based on Ntozake Shange’s electric play of poems, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Tyler Perry directs, with nine women actors, among them Janet Jackson, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, Tessa Thompson, Kerry Washington and Whoopi Goldberg. “A thunderous storm of a movie.” (Manohla Dargis, The New York Times)
