Lecture About the Craft of Writing with Author Catherine Lacey

Event Description:
Catherine Lacey will have a one-week residency at Stony Brook University November 2 though November 6, during which she will host several fiction and creative non-fiction workshops with undergraduates and MFA candidates. Lacey's residency is made possible by the President's Visiting Artists Series Award, which the Writing Program received last year. 

Lacey is the author of Nobody Is Ever Missing (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2014), a finalist for the New York Public Library's Young Lions Fiction Award. Her short fiction and essays have been published widely. She was named a Granta New Voice in 2014, awarded an artist's fellowship from New York Foundation for the Arts in 2012, and has taught in the Creative Writing Program at Columbia University. Her second novel and first short story collection are forthcoming from Farrar, Straus & Giroux and abroad.

Lecture followed by a reception. Free & open to the public.
