Theater of War: A Dramatic Reading of Scenes from Sophocles' Ajax

Event Description:
Theater of War is an innovative project that presents readings of Sophocles' Ajax–a Greek tragedy about the suicide of a great and respected warrior–to diverse military and civilian audiences as a catalyst for powerful town hall discussions about the visible and invisible wounds of war.

This new version by Bryan Doerries features acclaimed actors Reg E. Cathey and Martha Plimpton.

This event is made possible by a Presidential Mini-Grant for Diversity and is sponsored by the Program in Writing and Rhetoric and the Stony Brook Veterans Affairs Office.

Admission is free. Seating is limited.
