KidOYO Minecraft Dojo: Coding Education for Young Makers

Event Description:
The KidOYO Summer Camp develops programming and physical computing "maker" skills in kids, and is an attempt to join the interests of children in the 7 -17 age range with a highly valuable educational path.

It is an opportunity for students to engage in a discovery based experience that will cover a number of interactive technology experiences aimed at the creative sandbox that is Minecraft, including: basic game programming, artistic story telling and musical parody, engineering and science challenges, invention kits and electronic prototype testing, web literacy and publishing knowledge, and personal access to professional toy and game developers who bring a real-world context to student learning.
