Singgalot Exhibit Reception with Performance

Event Description:
The Singgalot–The Ties that Bind: Filipinos in America from Colonial Subjects to Citizens exhibition details the rich history of Filipinos in America, honors early immigrant pioneers and the determined generations after them, and addresses the community and culture of Filipino Americans through historically significant photographs.  Singgalot celebrates the vital contribution made by Filipino Americans to Pacific trade, military service, the arts, and civil rights activism.

Featuring Kevin Nadal as Master of Ceremonies and Opening Act, and performances by our very own Philippine United Students Organization, and by vocalist KOBA and music by the Asian American Advisory Board Youth Orchestra.

Filipino refreshments will be served. Free and open to all!
