Stony Brook Opera: Trouble in Tahiti/Paradise in New York

Event Description
Stony Brook Opera's 2011-2012 season will open with "Trouble in Tahiti/Paradise in New York," a program of excerpts from Leonard Bernstein's one-act opera "Trouble in Tahiti," followed by songs and ensembles from Bernstein's popular New York shows, including "West Side Story," "On the Town," and "Wonderful Town." Jamie Bernstein, the composer's daughter, making her debut as a stage director, will stage and narrate the program with Timothy Long, conductor.
