Event Description
A nationally
recognized physician-scientist and gastrointestinal cancer
investigator, Dr. Yang comes to Stony Brook from Emory University, where
he was the R. Bruce Logue Professor of Medicine and Director of the
Division of Digestive Diseases. Dr. Yang oversees
the largest department within the School of Medicine that includes a
broad residency training program and nine clinical divisions including
Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Internal Medicine
& Geriatrics, Oncology/Hematology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology,
Pulmonology & Critical Care, Rheumatology/Immunology.
Members of the faculty who currently hold endowed professorships and chairs will also be recognized in the program and reception.
