Event Description
The bold and ingenious Turtle Island Quartet and legendary composer and clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera, will play music live, on-stage for Luna Negra Dance Theater in a magnificent performance of Danzón. This traditional, quintessential Cuban dance is reinvented and reinvigorated as a modern work of art in concert with the collective winners of eleven Grammy Awards. Their production blends ballet and modern dance techniques, strongly
flavored by Latino and Afro-Caribbean music and dance forms.
