Speaker: Dr. Rosemary Serra, University of Trieste and Visiting Research Scholar at the Calandra Institute, Queens College

Topic: Italian American Identity: Some Reflections on a Study of New York's Italian American Youth Population

The lecture is based on her study that explores ethnic identity awareness and formation through a sample of young Italian Americans (18-34 years old) living in the greater New York City area. The research findings that will be discussed examine individual and social factors that influence Italian American identity and the ways in which Italian American identity affects the young generations' daily lives.
