Event Description
Sunday, March 3, 2013
2:00–3:30 p.m.
CFAMilies is a monthly event at the Cornell Fine Arts Museum for adults and children to enjoy together. Participants experience art through fun and creative projects drawn from the Cornell Fine Arts Museum’s exhibitions!
This month’s CFAMilies will explore the marvelous work in our current exhibition, Florida’s “Useable Past”: The Sunshine State and the Index of American Design. After touring the exhibition, participants will imagine themselves as modern-day WPA artists and create renderings of heirloom objects important to their own family.
-
**Bring an object that will serve as inspiration for art work using watercolor, colored pencils, and graphite. Objects should be no larger than a basketball and can be pottery, an ornament, a doll, clothing such as a hat or shoes, a memento, a postcard, or another item special to you.
Space is limited—RSVP required!
Please email cfameducation@rollins.edu with the total number of participants.
RSVP deadline—February 28th.
Cost: Free to ALL!
