Event Description
A Local Folkus is partnering with the City of Winter Garden and Slow Food Orlando to host the Winter Garden Harvest Festival on May 5th. The event will be a celebration of local food and the farmers, chefs, entrepreneurs, and organizations that bring the harvest of their fields to our plates. There will be an all local farmers market, live music, workshops, Farm to Table dinner, and rooftop garden tour. Join us in strengthening the roots of Winter Garden’s vibrant local food community.
Volunteer Opportunities include setting up and breaking down of program events, registration and check-in, photography/videography, assisting with Farm to Table Dinner, staffing for information booth, and other general forms of assistance. To express interest in volunteering, kindly send an email to our Volunteer Program Coordinator, Heather Grove, at WGharvest@gmail.com with “Volunteer for WGHF 2012, Your Name” in the subject line. Include your name, cell phone number, availability during the festival (Early, Morning, Afternoon, Evening or Flexible), and your particular area(s) of interest in volunteering.
