Event Description
Curated by Fred Hicks student intern Danielle Guimarães, this exhibition includes a selection of works from two series of prints by Spanish artist Salvador Dalí. Created in commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of the founding of the modern state of Israel, Dalí’s Aliyah (1968) represents important moments of Jewish history as well as traditional symbols and customs. In Our Historical Heritage (1975), the artist portrayed prominent figures and passages from the Hebrew scriptures, creating his own unique version of biblical stories.
