| Application Deadline: The Interactive Marketing Immersion Xperience (I-MIX)
August 4-8, 2013 | Denver, CO
The Interactive Marketing Immersion Xperience (I-MIX) is designed for rising junior and rising senior undergraduates who are considering a career in marketing. During the week-long intensive marketing program 30 students will be immersed in seminars focused on interactive marketing. The program is hosted by a leading company in the field and seminars are led by various marketing executives and a leading academic. Students will also participate in a career and resume workshop led by a premier career coach. After completing this program, participants will gain a decided edge in the marketplace.

• Admission to this program is highly selective
• $300 program fee due upon acceptance into program

Whether you are ready to write your first resume or you need to spruce up an existing resume, this workshop is for you. Internships, part-time jobs, study abroad, scholarships, career fairs and full-time job searches all require the best resume possible. Learn how to create a resume that will best showcase you, your background, skills and experiences. Bring a pencil and paper as you will want to take notes. Although not required, if you have an existing resume, bring that as well in case you have specific questions or want to make edits directly onto the page. This session is open to all Arts & Sciences, Hamilton Holt, and Professional Studies students and will last approximately 50 minutes. |

| The Synergy of Sustainability: Campus and Community 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Sustainability is a wide-ranging concept, but how is it perceived and acted upon, and how can it be utilized to invigorate the classroom experience? Dr. Angela Halfacre, the Director of Furman University’s David E. Shi Center for Sustainability, will share her experience in transferring Furman’s campus sustainability initiatives to the city of Greenville. Given that both Rollins and the City of Winter Park are drafting sustainability plans, Dr. Halfacre will also lead and participate in a charrette devoted to advancing initiatives in local food production, water and energy conservation, and alternative transportation on the campus and in the community.
The conversation will continue on April 18th when Rollins hosts Joel Salatin, an iconic figure in ecological and local-oriented farming who gained notoriety as the grass farmer featured in Michael Pollan’s bestseller, The Omnivore’s Dillema. |

| Steps for Starting a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
This session provides a basic overview of the steps for starting a 501c3 nonprofit corporation. Participants will receive practical information about mission/vision, board of directors, bylaws, realistic funding expectations, and the process for Florida state incorporation and federal government tax-exempt status.
You will learn:
- to define a nonprofit
- to explore reasons to start a nonprofit
- to identify challenges and alternatives to starting a 501c3 nonprofit
- the steps required to start a 501c3 nonprofit, including federal and state filings and applications

Our pannel of experts will help us explore why Trayvon Martin and Shaima Alawadi, victims of racially motivated violence in the United States, have not received the justice they deserve.
