Event Description
Are you a woman being paid less than the men you work with? Are you looking for help as you negotiate your next raise or salary at a new job? If so, come join a panel discussion at Rollins College to learn why most women today still earn less than men, and about strategies for getting the salary you deserve.
This informative panel, led by Rollins MBA Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurship and Negotiation, Bill Grimm, will feature local business leaders who will offer insights, tips and advice to attendees.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, at the end of 2010 women who worked full time earned only 81.8 percent of the salaries that men got paid. Why is this gender divide happening? Is there still a glass ceiling? The panel will discuss the issues that contribute to lower salaries for women in the United States.
Attendees will also be given the opportunity to ask questions regarding their personal experiences negotiating current employers or for new jobs.
