On-campus parking will be closed starting Wednesday night. Starting at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, pedestrian traffic will be permitted in front of the Alfond Sports Center for formation of lines for the event, all other areas around the Sports Center will not be accessible.
Parking will be available in the SunTrust Plaza Parking Garage or at any public parking area further north of that garage. ADA parking will be permitted closer to the venue; the check point for that is at the corner of Park and Holt avenues.
Some additional things to keep in mind if you are attending the event:
If you plan on arriving early for the event, please prepare accordingly and plan for heat. Wear comfortable shoes and light clothing. Water will be available outside, but cannot be brought inside. A water station will be set up inside the venue.
Security screenings and bag searches will take place prior to entering the venue. Coolers, umbrellas, folding chairs, etc. cannot be brought inside. They must be left outside the building at the owner’s risk.
Cameras will be allowed.
Once you are in the venue you will not be permitted to leave and re-enter the building.
While the College will not be providing a live stream of the event, both local and national media will be covering it.
Please remember that you will be standing in line outside AND at the event unless you are able to get a seat in the bleachers.
Please note that a ticket does not guarantee entry or a seat.
