Event Description
Pre-registration is necessary for this three hour class is designed for people with newly diagnosed or uncontrolled diabetes. The class instructors include a certified diabetes educator and a registered dietitian. Topics covered in class include: diabetes disease process, nutrition, physical activity, medications, blood glucose monitoring/using results, acute complications, setting goals for a healthy lifestyle, and psychosocial adjustment.
