Participants learn how to positively manage the symptoms of chronic conditions through group problem solving, individual decision making, and weekly action planning.
The workshop is highly interactive and participatory.

They also use and take home complimentary cosmetic kits in their appropriate skin tones (light, medium, dark, extra dark) with helpful instruction booklets. Professional advice is provided on wigs, scarves, and accessories.

The Diabetes Group Class is a seven-hour ongoing series. The class is offered on Mondays in one 2-hour session and two 2 1/2-hour sessions for a total of three weeks. The class instructors include a certified diabetes nurse educator, registered dietitian, pharmacist, wound care specialist and fitness specialist.
Preregistration is required.
Classes are held on Mondays at the PMC Conference Center.

Preregistration is required.

The Diabetes Group Class is a seven-hour ongoing series. The class is offered on Mondays in one 2-hour session and two 2 1/2-hour sessions for a total of three weeks. The class instructors include a certified diabetes nurse educator, registered dietitian, pharmacist, wound care specialist and fitness specialist.
Preregistration is required.
Classes are held on Mondays at the PMC Conference Center.
Class 1: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Dangerous toll of Diabetes, Diabetes disease process, General guidelines for blood glucose monitoring, and Emotional aspects: stress management and depress.
Class 2: 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Basics of meal planning, carb counting, and reading food labels, Food basics of good nutrition, and Benefits and guidelines for exercise.
Class 3: 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Diabetes medications overview, Diabetes complications: benefits of control versus risks of poor control, and Diabetes foot care.
