"East Meets West": A presentation by master potter Hiroshi Sueyoshi

Event Description:
The Crafts Center at NC State University presents an evening with master potter Hiroshi Sueyoshi:

In conjunction with the Gregg Museum’s Exhibition, REMNANTS OF THE FLOATING WORLD: Japanese Art from the Permanent Collection, the Crafts Center presents East Meets West, a free presentation by Master Potter Hiroshi Sueyoshi. A native of Tokyo, Japan, Hiroshi Sueyoshi studied at Tokyo Aeronautical College and Ochanomizu Design Academy prior to becoming an apprentice with Daisei-Gama and Masanao Narui, in Mashiko, Japan, in 1968.

Mr. Sueyoshi currently lives in Wilmington, NC, where he is the Artist-in-Residence at the Louise Well Cameron Art Museum. He has exhibited nationally and internationally. His works are in many private, corporate and institutional collections around the country, including the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Institute.
