CEFS Summer Sustainable Agriculture Internship Program (application deadline)
Start Date: 2/14/2014 All Day
End Date: 2/14/2014

Event Description:
We are seeking highly-motivated undergraduate students from a variety of different backgrounds, with a strong interest in sustainable agriculture, to participate in a unique 8-week summer internship program. Interns will learn about the concepts and practices of various aspects of sustainable agriculture from expert faculty and staff at CEFS and through hands-on farm work, lectures and discussions, community engagement, and field trips to local farms and markets. In addition, a highlight of this program is that interns will gain hands-on sustainable agriculture research knowledge through working with CEFS Faculty Mentors. The Summer Internship Program will run from June 2 – July 25, 2014 at the CEFS research farm in Goldsboro, NC. Interns are expected to be present and engaged in all internship activities five days a week (Monday through Friday, although there may be occasional weekend work) and there will be at least one mandatory weekend field trip.

Internship applications are online at http://www.cefs.ncsu.edu/getinvolved/internships.html. The application deadline is Friday, February 14.
