"North Carolina's New Front in the Voting Wars": 2013 SPIA's American Values Public Lecture

Event Description:
The School of Public and International Affairs announces that the 2013 American Values Public Lecture, "North Carolina's New Front in the Voting Wars," will be given by Professor Richard Hasen, Chancellor's Professor of Law and Political Science at the University of California, Irvine. Hasen is a nationally recognized expert in election law and campaign finance regulation. He is the author of more than 80 articles on election law, published in numerous journals including the Harvard Law Review and Supreme Court Review. He was named one of the 100 most influential lawyers in America by The National Law Journal in 2013. His newest book, The Voting Wars: From Florida 2000 to the Next Election Meltdown, was published in summer 2012 by Yale University Press.
The lecture will be Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in Withers Hall, Room 232a.
