Tim Gurganus and Everette Allen of the Office of Information Technology will present "Mobile Security for iPhone & Android" on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from noon to 1 p.m. in 216 Scott Hall.

What would happen if your phone was lost, stolen or infected with a virus? Your data, including text messages, passwords and contacts, would be difficult to replace. Is it worth protecting? This presentation will cover the security features of Apple iOS and Google Android - the two most popular smartphone operating systems. You will learn how to use a screen lock passcode, encrypt the data on your device, back up the data on your device, locate your device if its lost, scan your device for malware, and much more.
