No Illusions, No Fantasy, No Melodrama: The Legacy of Rachel Carson's Silent Spring

Event Description:
Join us for a special talk featuring Dr. M. Jimmie Killingsworth, author of "Ecospeak." Dr. Killingsworth will discuss the legacy of Rachel Carson's milestone book, "Silent Spring," in honor of the 50th anniversary of its publication. Drs. Matthew Booker (History), Deborah Hooker (English and Women's & Gender Studies) and Ken Zagacki (Communication) will be respondents to Dr. Killingsworth's talk. The talk will take place in the auditorium at D.H. Hill Library.
Following the talk, a reception with light refreshments will take place in the Faculty Senate.
