Event Description
The Confucius Institute is proud to sponsor the 3rd Annual Chinese Language Speech Contest. Across North Carolina, the interest to study Chinese language is increasing and our mission is to help encourage and sustain this growth.
This year, over 96 students from 14 different schools across 7 different counties in NC entered the speech contest. This is substantial growth from 2010 where only 22 students entered the contest.
We would like to offer a special invitation for you to attend the Final Competition on May 5. Twenty finalists will compete and take part in this special day as students across NC showcase their Chinese learning ability and talent relating to Chinese culture.

Time: 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm
You are welcome to stop by any time during this time to view the final competition.
From 4:15- 5:00 pm there will be an awards ceremony and reception which we would specifically like to offer you a special invitation.
