End Date: 4/17/2013End Time: 7:00 PM

Event Description:
If you are interested in how good sound design can transform the way we perceive the buildings we live and work in, here’s a chance to hear it from one of the world’s experts. TED alumnus and Chairman of The Sound Agency, Julian Treasure, will give a lecture, ““Building with Our Ears,” on the physical, emotional, and educational benefits realized when good design encompasses both the visual and the auditory. Julian Treasure is author of the book Sound Business, the first map of the exciting new territory of applied sound for business.  He has been widely featured in the world’s media, including TIME magazine, The Economist, The Times, national TV and radio, as well as many international trade and business magazines. His three TED talks have been viewed an estimated four million times.

The talk is free and open to the public and will be held in the Hunt Library 400-seat auditorium inside the main entrance on Level 1. A reception follows at 6pm in the IEI Multipurpose Room.
