Event Description
Starting April 23rd, anyone can donate at one of the 13 Pack Rat donation locations around campus. Each container is located central to campus residence halls. In addition, large donation boxes will be provided in lobbies of certain residence halls and at Greek Court houses upon request. This year, all donations will go to two amazing local non-profit organizations, The Green Chair Project and Dorcas Ministries.
The yearly program is a collaborative effort by the NC State University Housing and Waste Reduction & Recycling Office to reduce waste sent to the landfill and give back to the Raleigh community. Last year the program reported to have collected 18,000 pounds of clothes, shoes, TVs, furniture, appliances, food, and more from the generous donations from students.
